xAPI (also known as Tin Can API) is a learning data standard designed to record learning experiences across platforms, devices, and contexts, beyond traditional learning management systems.
cmi5 is a profile that defines how xAPI is used for formal learning activities, combining xAPI’s flexibility with structured LMS-based course launch, tracking, and completion rules.

Requesting Additional Content Formats

To enable additional content formats, please email support@studystash.com with the following information:
  • Your institution name (text)
  • LTI 1.3 supported (yes/no)
  • Content type request (SCORM (1.2 / 2004), xAPI, cmi5, H5P Content, Zip)
  • What LMS do you use? (e.g., Canvas, Moodle, Blackboard)
  • External resources (e.g., reading lists, external links, library integrations)
  • Tracking or reporting requirements (Gradebook pass back)
  • An example file (if available)
  • Any additional information or special requirements

Note: While some content upload formats may not be supported, students typically create their own notes and learning materials from scratch within StudyStash. This allows students to discover for themselves where StudyStash works best for their individual study needs and where other tools may be more appropriate.
