traditional LMSs offer limited visibility into how students actually engage with learning materials. StudyStash, however, analyses what students upload, the concepts they ask StudyChat about, the areas they misunderstand, and the questions they get wrong in assessments-then sends lecturers anonymised weekly insight emails to highlight where students may need additional support.

How does it work?

  • Lecturer insight emails contain a weekly collection of student usage data extracted from the StudyStash platform.
  • The email will outline high level summaries of topics students have understood well, and/or areas that their finding challenging.
  • A suggestion of questions to ask students may be included as well as useful figures and percentages

When should I expect my lecturer insight email?

Lecturer insight emails are sent at regular intervals based on your class’s engagement levels. The cadence is agreed at the start of your pilot and is typically every week—or every two to three weeks, depending on activity.

What if I haven’t received an insight email yet? If you haven’t received any insight emails, it’s likely due to one of the following: a) Low engagement from your class - there may not be enough activity to generate anonymised insights. b) It hasn’t been configured by your university admin team.
