# How do I share resources with my class?

> Create study materials and share a resource or folder with your class.

You can share an individual asset or an entire resource, such as a folder or a group of notes.

<Steps>
  <Step title="Create your study materials">
    Use StudyStash as you normally would. Upload any course content (PPTX, PDF, DOCX) and create the study assets, or create them from scratch.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Open the share menu">
    In **My Files**, find the resource you want to share. Click the three-dot menu under **Actions** and choose **Share**.

    </Frame>

    You can also share from inside a resource. Open it, then click the share icon next to the title at the top of the page.

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make the resource accessible">
    In the **Share your resource** dialog, change the dropdown to **Anyone with the link**, then click the copy icon to copy the link. You'll see a "File is now public" confirmation.

    Without this step, your students won't be able to open it.

    </Frame>
  </Step>

  <Step title="Post the link for your class">
    Paste the link wherever your students will see it:

    * In the individual module or week it relates to

    * In an LMS announcement

    * On your course page, alongside your other materials

    Putting the link inside the relevant week tends to get the most use, because it sits where students are already looking.

## If a student can’t open the link

<Accordion title="Check the sharing setting" icon="link">
  In **Share your resource**, choose **Anyone with the link** and copy the link again. The “File is now public” confirmation shows that the setting was applied. Share the copied link in the relevant module, week or announcement.
